DESCRIPTION:Summer Irish Arts Kids Day Camp at the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ \nThe Irish Music School of Chicago and the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ will be hosting their 16th annual Irish Arts Kids Day Camp July 21-25. Camp will run from 9am-12pm Monday-Friday. \nChildren ages 4-11 are transported to Ireland learning from some of the best Irish musicians\, teachers and artists from around the world.  Each day starts and ends with live traditional Irish music and their days are filled with learning many Irish arts forms including singing\, lilting\, sean-nós\, group and step dancing\, storytelling and folklore\, and arts and crafts.  Campers choose between tin whistle or fiddle for their daily music class and campers try their hand at bodhrán playing too. \nThe Irish Music School of Chicago and the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ partner to provide this fun yearly program to pass on the love and appreciation of Irish arts to the next generation. \nTo find out more about the 2025 Irish Arts Week Kids Day Camp\, visit www.irishmusicschool.org or call 773-412-5082.

Make this summer one to remember! \nDamian McGinty is a multi-genre singer/songwriter from Derry\, Northern Ireland\, who now calls Nashville his home. Damian rose to fame as a founding and lead vocalist of the acclaimed group Celtic Thunder\, and has also built a successful solo career\, releasing several albums and EPs and touring regularly both with Celtic Thunder and as a soloist. He has also appeared on television\, including his role on Glee and his 2023 appearance on Dancing with the Stars: Ireland\, in which he was a finalist. In 2019\, Damian appeared on movie screens around the country in the lead role of the family Christmas film Santa Fake. \nIn his solo work\, Damian’s Irish roots blend with pop\, folk\, adult alternative contemporary\, and country influences and a lyrical storytelling style to create a sound that is both familiar and unique.
